General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS) and
Family Radio Service (FRS) frequencies.
To select a channel and quiet code:

Battery packs take about 16 hours to fully charge.
When the battery is low, BATT appears and
flashes. Recharge the battery pack. You can charge
in one of three ways: using AC adapters, cradles or
your car adapter (not included).

your radio returns to group mode after 15 seconds. You can start a
conversation by pressing PTT before the tone ends on your radio.

transmission. After that, your radio automatically returns to group
mode.

In weather alert mode, the radio operates
normally but also monitors the selected
weather channel for alerts when it is not
transmitting or in the menu mode. Your radio
sounds an alert for serious weather conditions
when it receives a weather alert.

When silent mode is on, all incoming calls are muted, the backlight blinks, and “SLNT” and the call icon
display to alert you of an incoming call. If you do not respond to the call within 15 seconds, the backlight
turns off, and the miss call icon will continuously blink. Silent mode is disabled for 15 seconds when you
transmit or press any other key, or after you receive the last signal.
